Step 1: Check Miko's Status
Identify the screen or message displayed on your Miko Mini and choose the appropriate troubleshooting option:
Option 1:
If Miko displays one of the following:
- QR Code
- "Configure Wi-Fi…"
- "Waiting to be connected"
This indicates that Miko is not yet connected to Wi-Fi. Proceed with the detailed troubleshooting steps in this article to establish a connection.
Option 2:
If Miko says, "I am connected to Wi-Fi" and begins downloading updates, the connection has been successfully established. No further action is needed.
Step 2: Follow Troubleshooting Steps
For Option 1, ensure the following:
- The Wi-Fi Password is correct
- Miko Mini is near the Wi-Fi router, within 15 feet.
- You are using a secured network (2.4 GHz recommended).

Permissions are enabled such as Location and Local Network / Nearby Devices on your phone
Restart the Miko app and retry the setup process.
Switching to a Different Network should help for successful setup, It is recommended to use a phone hotspot from another phone during the setup.
Step 3: Restart and Retry
If the issue persists, restart Miko Mini by holding down the power button for 5 seconds. Wait for 60 seconds before turning on, and then attempt the setup again.
