If your Miko Mini is not responding properly, not listening, or giving incorrect answers, try the steps below to improve how Miko hears and responds.
Step 1: Restart Miko Mini
A quick restart often fixes temporary issues.
Disconnect the charging cable.
Press and hold the power button for 4–5 seconds to turn Miko Mini off.
Turn Miko Mini back on and try again.
Step 2: Make Sure Miko Is Listening
Say “Hey Miko” clearly.
Look for the blue indicator and blue waves on the screen — this means Miko is actively listening.
If you don’t see the blue indicator, say the wake word again slowly.
Step 3: Increase Listening Duration
If Miko stops listening too quickly:
Open the Miko App.
Go to Settings and enter your Parent Passcode.
Select your Miko Mini device.
Tap “Tune Miko’s Listening Power.”
Select Listening.
Move the slider to increase listening time.
Tap Save.
Step 4: Increase “Hey Miko” Sensitivity
If Miko doesn’t respond every time you say “Hey Miko”:
Open the Miko App → Settings.
Enter your Parent Passcode.
Select your Miko Mini.
Tap “Hey Miko Sensitivity.”
Move the slider to increase sensitivity.
Tap Save.
Step 5: Use Clear and Simple Commands
Miko responds best to clear, direct commands like:
“Hey Miko, let’s play”
“Hey Miko, let’s talk”
“Open Ocean Explorer”
“Open Math Wizard”
💡 If the on-screen text doesn’t match what was said, repeat the command slowly and clearly.
Step 6: Reduce Background Noise
For best results:
Use Miko Mini in a quiet room
Avoid TV, music, or loud conversations nearby
Step 7: Fix “No Internet” Errors
If Miko Mini frequently shows “No Internet”:
Delete the current Wi-Fi network from Miko’s settings.
Reconnect to a stronger or different Wi-Fi network.
Keep Miko Mini within 5 meters of the router.
