The video calling feature on Miko Sparky helps you stay connected with your child anytime, anywhere. Parents can initiate video calls directly from the Miko App, providing a seamless and secure way to interact. During the call, you'll have an exclusive view of your child, ensuring a safe and private communication experience. Miko Sparky automatically answers incoming video calls, making it easy for families to stay connected without requiring any action from the child.
Parent-Initiated Calls: To start a video call, follow the steps below,
- Open the Miko App and click on "Video Call to Miko" under the Parent Zone.
- Enter your Passcode to enter the Parent Zone.
- Select the Miko device linked from the drop-down, if any.
- You’ll see a "Video Call Miko" icon at the bottom of the screen
- Click the "Video Call Miko" icon to initiate the video call.
Before a video call begins, Miko Sparky displays a white color, indicating that the Miko is paired and ready to initiate the call.
Once the video call is initiated, Miko Sparky’s display changes to purple color, indicating that the call has started.
Miko Sparky automatically answers the incoming call, and the display color on the Miko screen changes from purple to red, indicating that the video call is connected.
Visual and Audio Connection: During the call, parents can see their child through Miko Sparky’s wide-angle HD camera and hear the voice clearly via the robot’s high-performance speakers.
Two-Way Audio and One-Way Video for Kids: The Miko Sparky lets the child hear their parent’s voice and lets the parent see the child’s video. During the video call, for the child's privacy, the parent's video will not be displayed to the child. This prioritizes privacy and security while still facilitating meaningful interaction.
Safe and Secure: The video calling feature on Miko is built into a secure, kidSAFE+ COPPA-certified platform, ensuring all communications are encrypted and protected.
