Miko Shield is your all-in-one dashboard for managing your child’s safety, screen time, and overall experience on Miko. It brings together both existing parental controls and new safety features into a single, easy-to-access place, designed to give parents full visibility and control over how their child uses Miko.

You can access Miko Shield in Miko App on Parent Zone → Shield Tab OR from Settings → Parental Controls

1. AI Conversation Toggle: This feature allows you to enable or disable AI-powered conversations on Miko.
When AI Conversation is ON: Your child can access all talents and skills on Miko
When AI Conversation is OFF:
Your child cannot access AI conversation apps
Your child cannot access:
- Let’s Talk, Story Maker
- Ocean Explorer, Space Explorer, Country Explorer, Time Traveler, Wildlife Safari
- Santa Time, Mind Reader, Roleplay
- My Adventure Book & Storymaker (Miko 3 & Miko App)
Your child can still access:
- Story Time, Music, Dance, Quizzes, Riddles (Mini & Miko 3)
- Partner content such as Disney, Vooks, Cosmic Kids, Marie’s Recipes
- Miko content like Munchy’s World, Learning Buddy, Mikoji, Miko Music, and more
2. Lock Kids Zone: Lock or unlock the Kids Zone.
- Prevents your child from accessing Kidz Zone on the Miko App, which adds an extra layer of parental control and safety
3. Block Topics: Control the type of conversations your child can have with Miko.
- Select sensitive categories (e.g., political parties, religion)
- Choose specific sub-topics within each category
- Apply restrictions to one child or all profiles
- Tap “Block” to activate
4. Block Words / Phrases: You can set a limit by blocking words and phrases that you feel are unsuitable for your child
5. Manage Screen Time: Set healthy screen habits for your child with two key controls:
A. Break Reminder: Miko automatically applies a 15-minute break after 180 minutes (3 hours) of continuous usage of Miko. You can customize break duration and intervals in the Manage screen time on the Miko App. Reminders can be set for your child, and Miko will display a reminder encouraging your child to take breaks
B. Daily Usage Limit: Set the Daily Usage time for your child to use Miko.
6. App Access: Lock or unlock individual apps within Kids Zone.
7. Bedtime Schedule: Set usage limits on Miko during sleep hours of your child
- Set schedules for your child on Miko for weekdays and weekends to ensure Miko and Kids Zone are unavailable for your child during sleep hours
- During bedtime, Miko displays a bedtime notification. Access is restricted until the scheduled time ends.
8. Daily Rewards: Manage the daily rewards to enable/disable on Miko.
