Do the pawns on Miko's chessboard move on their own?

Yes, the pawns move automatically when playing online, whereas in offline games, you must move them manually. 

Furthermore, the board will provide an audible notification in the form of a single beep to indicate a valid move, whereas multiple beeps indicate an invalid move.
