VPC stands for Verified Parental Consent. VPC is a process by which a parent or legal guardian provides explicit and verifiable permission for collecting and processing a minor's data (usually under 18 years of age) for online services.
The purpose of verified parental consent is to ensure that the personal data of minors is handled in a responsible and compliant manner, as children may need more support to fully understand the implications of sharing their information online.
You can complete VPC by following the below process:
- Press "confirm and verify identity" on the Parental consent page that automatically appears on the Parent app while pairing the Miko.
- You will then be redirected to the payment page, where you will be asked to make a ₹1 transaction (in India) & $0 (in the USA) to verify that you are an adult.
- In the next step, you will be asked to select the preferred payment method (Credit or Debit Card/Net banking/Wallet/Pay later/UPI) and proceed with the payment.
- Once the payment is completed, you will now be able to use the Parent app.
Please note that VPC is a mandatory requirement for customers in India & the USA region, and this requirement may not apply to customers from other regions.
